Discover South East

South East England is alive with festivals, events and anniversaries waiting to be discovered. Beyond the magnet of London, you can find a huge variety of events from the largest, internationally known such as Brighton Festival, Ascot or Henley Regatta to the less well known or those that are new for 2007 such as Winchester 2007 Year of Sculpture or a Celebration of a 1000 years of Oxfordshire.

Or why not take the family for a day out of knowledge and theatrics. Many of the theatres and museums in the South East have special 'family friendly' programmes.

Time for a spot of culture, visit Portsmouth which has regenerated itself from navy town to a home of modern art galleries and a new Waterfront Festival. Or visit Sussex and combine culture with historic properties and gardens such as Arundel Castle, home to the Duke of Norfolk which plays host to several events during the annual Arundel Festival.

These pages provide a snapshot of what's out there.
